CAPCOM PRO TOUR 2018

Street Fighter World Finals

Capcom Cup 2018

Capcom Cup is the official world finals for Street Fighter. When conceptualizing the visual identity for 2018, we crafted a complete asset package from scratch. We paired Capcom’s signature blue with the deep, moody blacks of the Arcade Edition aesthetic to create dynamic contrast throughout. Each scene highlights a distinct Capcom color palette for depth and variety, and a red neon accent ties it all together as a nod to Ryu’s iconic headband.

The event’s headlining track was composed by Cardell Thomas under my music direction, and refined from the earliest stages of production. For the live broadcast, I customized the stream controller interface so everything integrated seamlessly with the live production workflow.

Every Hat, One Director

Productions this size usually split the work across separate creative, motion, broadcast tech, and audio teams. As head of the entire Capcom Cup 2018 production, I led all of it:

• Production Lead — Head of the whole project, overseeing every creative and technical decision from concept to live broadcast.
• Creative Direction — The visual identity, color strategy, and scene-by-scene look of the entire event.
• Broadcast Graphics & Motion — Scoreboards, pre-match screens, lower thirds, and the animated scenes that played on stream.
• Technical Direction — Building the custom stream controller and integrating it with the live production workflow.
• Music Direction — Directing the event’s headlining track with composer Cardell Thomas.
